Support Taala
Kept free, kept quiet, kept honest.
Taala is free. There are no adverts, nothing is sold, and nothing about how you read is passed to anybody. That is not a promotion that ends — it is the point of the app.
Keeping it that way still costs something. Servers, Scripture licences, the tools that keep it working, and the time of the people who maintain it all have to be covered somehow.
If Taala has been useful to you, and you have the means and want to help, you're welcome to help carry that. If you can't, don't — read it, mark it, study it with your church or your friends, and let somebody else carry the cost this month. We believe giving should be willing and cheerful, never something drawn out of people through guilt — not because you must, but because, as Paul put it, God loves a cheerful giver.
If there is more
If, once the costs of running Taala are covered, there's more than we need, we want that to move outward — to people in our community who are struggling, to local churches we hope to work alongside, and to the people in them carrying the word to places an app never will.
Where it goes
In the order it's spent.
- 01Keeping it runningServers, the database, and the Scripture licences. First call on anything given — an app nobody can open helps nobody.
- 02Keeping it builtThe people who maintain it, fix what breaks, and build what's missing. Time is the thing this project is shortest of.
- 03Reaching furtherMore translations, more languages, and letting people know it exists — which we'd rather do by being worth sharing than by buying attention.
- 04Giving it awayWhat's left over, once the above is covered. We want it to reach people near us who are hurting, and the local churches already doing that work. None of this has happened yet — it's what we're aiming at, and we'll say plainly when it starts.
How to give
Not yet, honestly. We're setting the accounts up, and we'd rather show you what's coming than put a button here that doesn't work.

None of these work yet.
What giving does — and doesn't — mean
Giving never unlocks anything. There's no supporter tier, no badge, no name on a list — a reader who gives and a reader who can't see exactly the same app. It doesn't buy influence over what we teach or build. We'll publish what came in and where it went, once anything has. We'll never sell or share anything about how you read, whether you give or not. And a regular gift is a standing order you control — not a subscription we manage.
Thank you
Thank you for reading this far, whether or not you ever give anything. Read freely. Study deeply. Share it freely. And if one day you have the means and the desire to help carry it for somebody else — thank you.
